Together Initiative Update
First Church Family,
We love all the excitement around First Church right now! As of earlier this month, we have surpassed the number of baptisms and new members from all of last year! God is at work in our church, and I’m excited about our future.
We wanted to give you an update on the Together Initiative/Union Building:
- We have a 0.80-acre piece of land in front of the current Union Campus that we put up for sale and is now under contract for the full asking price! These funds will help offset the cost of the new Union Campus building.
- If you remember, we had to change our plans to accommodate the increasing costs of materials, labor, and loan service. We are working with Elevar Design Group to design a building that will meet our needs and the needs of the community.
- Elevar is looking at our full property to see how we might use our land best and is also exploring the possibility of community partnerships.
- We are hoping to have renderings from Elevar early this fall. We look forward to sharing them with you!
- We have a finance team working on giving projections and analyzing potential building costs.
We are excited to see where God leads us as we move forward to reaching people in the Union area!
