Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASA) are community volunteers, just like you,
who stand up and speak out to help abused and neglected children.
CASA is a volunteer-powered network of committed people from all walks of life who believe that society has a fundamental obligation to children. CASA volunteers are people just like you who believe that every child has the right to be treated with dignity, to be safe, and thrive in the embrace of a loving family.
To become a CASA volunteer you must be 21 years of age. You must pass four background checks, participate in a 30-hour pre-service training course and agree to stay with a case until it is closed (a year and a half on average).
