Women's Groups at First Church exist to encourage women to know and love God and to equip them for ministry to others.

This mission is accomplished through Women's Bible Studies, Discipleship Groups, Life Groups and other opportunities throughout the year bringing women together in the name of Christ to grow, serve, and learn together.

Several Women's Bible Studies and Women's Small Groups are listed below.

You can register for a Bible Study, Group or Childcare by clicking on the Green highlighted areas.

"Elijah" by Melissa Spoelstra

Life is like a rollercoaster, and we need spiritual stamina in order to keep going through all the ups and downs. Elijah did too. In this study, grounded in 1 and 2 Kings, Melissa Spoelstra leads us in examining the life of the prophet Elijah, an ordinary man who did extraordinary things for God in the midst of the highs and lows of life. We’ll learn some of the spiritual stamina secrets that helped him to hold on and persevere in faith, including habits related to prayer, choices, soul care, surrender, mentoring and leaving a lasting legacy.

Bible STudy - Burlington

Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week.

Women's Discipleship

Discipleship seeks to equip women who are mature in their faith to be used by God through personal ministry and empower them to do God's work and then disciple others.

If you're ready to dig deeper into God's Word and develop meaningful relationships in a small group for women, please consider Discipleship. This concept is based on spiritual multiplication. Disciples multiply!

This will be a minimal commitment of one year, but may be longer. Group size is limited and advanced sign-up is required.

Please contact Gina if you're interested in starting or joining a future Discipleship Group.
