When we serve, we put others' needs above our own, even if only for a moment, an hour, or a day. We begin to see and cherish others the way God sees and cherishes His greatest creation—each of us.
Jesus was asked what the most important commandment is, and He responded: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:37-39).
Serving is a tangible way to show others we love them. The world will know we are His disciples when we love one another.
“Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love.”
