The Way of Jesus
First Church Family,
I’m thrilled to share an important and exciting experience coming up in our church. On September 29th, we are launching an 8-week journey called “The Way of Jesus.” This experience will align with our worship services and all of our small groups, with the aim of helping us to Be with Jesus, Become like Jesus, and Do as Jesus did.
But you might be wondering, why are we doing this? Helping people follow Jesus is the very reason we exist as a church. Practicing the way of Jesus means adopting His lifestyle and putting His teachings into practice in every aspect of our lives. We believe that this initiative will help us all grow deeper in our faith and live out our calling as disciples of Christ.
This 8-week series is just the beginning of a larger journey we’ll be embarking on together. Over the next two and a half years, we will dive into each of the spiritual practices of Jesus, exploring them individually and integrating them into our daily lives. Each season will build on the last, helping us grow step by step in our relationship with Jesus and in our ability to live like Him.
To help us prepare, you will have the opportunity to purchase a book called Practicing the Way, along with the companion guide, which we will use as a tool in our small groups. If you’d like to get a head start, you can go ahead and purchase the book ahead of time at the link below and pick it up on Sunday.

Additionally, don’t miss the chance to join a small group! Group sign-ups will be open from September 8-22. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in our church as we walk this journey together.
